About this Blog

After reading the book 365: A Daily Creativity Journal: Make Something Every Day and Change Your Life!
I decided to start a project and create something every day for a year. I decided to use index cards because they are small, cheap and have lots of potential. They also travel well should I need to work away from my home office.
There are no rules. I can use any media, I can work in 2-D or 3-D. Whatever I think up or feel like making that day goes.
I am going to try to get each Index Card (IC) to represent the day/mood/feeling/event if I can.

Day 108 - 4/17/11

Today was back to school after spring break and today's card is back to basics. This is the doggie that I remember drawing over and over in about 3rd grade. The first of what became a "signature" character for me. If I had become a cartoonist, this would have been my earliest character sketch. I remember adults laughing at the "wag" marks I always added near the tail.

Days 94 - 107

Well, as you can see I missed quite a few days. Mostly due to spring break. Last time I missed a week, I played catch up by doing all the missed days while I gave a test at Cerritos.
After consulting with two people who follow this blog - who probably represent 50% of my readers - I have decided not to play catch up this time.
Since the blog was supposed to be a daily chance for me to express creativity it seems false to do faked posts

Day 93 - 4/2/12

Such a simple shape, the egg
And another simple shape, the back view of a bunny

Day 92 - 4/1/12

I drew it with the red line at the top. I wonder if it would have come out differently if the red line was on the side like this
